Tip: A qualified business tip is a company or person who is interested in a specific
service or product and is expecting a call from the NETip member within 24 hours.
A copy of each tip is passed around at the meeting and then retained by the member receiving the tip
Tip Bucket: At the end of each meeting each member places a copy of any tips given and any fines due in the tip bucket. At this time each member gives a 30 second commercial on their business.
Visitation: The first week of each month members drop their business cards in the tip bucket. The second time around each member draws a card and visits that person within 2 weeks to learn about their business. The third or fourth week of the month members give a commercial about the person visited instead of their own commercial. The visit may be done via phone if a direct visit is not possible.
Speaker: A 10 minute presentation by a member during the meeting. This should be about one particular aspect of the member’s business.
Poker Folder: Each meeting a “poker folder” is passed around the table. The President, without looking, will call stop and the person who has the folder is required to bring a guest within 2 weeks. If the member brings a guest he/she receives $10. If not he/she owes the group $10. Members who have recruited 3 or more members are exempt.
Guest & New Member Voting: A guest may attend 2 times at no cost. If the guest wants to be a member a vote will be held via e-mail and, if voted in, may attend as a full member beginning the third week. Cost for membership is $300 per year and a onetime $50 initiation fee.
